QA Coordinator

Position Summary

Provide the on-time delivery of Quality management documentation and processes; and in conjunction with the Quality Manager develop improved Quality processes in support of the wider business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Creation of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Manufacturing Data Book indexes (MDBs) and other quality documentation as required for customer approval
  • Planning and Managing Notification of Inspection (NOI) in accordance with customer requirements and in line with manufacturing schedules
  • Managing the internal calibration system to ensure compliance
  • Maintenance of CRP Subsea’s electronic process mapping system (The Map)
  • Supporting Quality Audits both internally and in the external supply chain

Main duties

  • Attend sales to project handover /kick off meetings to determine inspection and test plan and manufacturing data book index requirements
  • Understand and interpret customer specifications to ensure requirements are captured in the inspection and test plans
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders prior to completion of Inspection & Test Plans and during their review cycles. Understand the implications of changes before making contractual changes
  • Responsible for meeting the critical deadlines associated with contract milestones
  • Coordinate customer inspections in accordance with production plans. Monitor and review plans in collaboration with the relevant departments
  • Ensure inspection notification documents are accurately generated in a timely manner
  • Ensure relevant customer inspection documentation is correct and issued to customer inspectors in a timely manner
  • Ensure all measuring equipment is maintained in a calibrated status and is managed in the business system. Liaising with internal stakeholders where required
  • Issuance of notices when the Map is updated
  • Conduct and support internal and external audits
  • Be proficient in the use of established problem-solving tools to drive effective root cause analysis and identification of corrective & preventative actions
  • Responsible for generating the statistical data for the effectiveness of NCRs and customer complaints
  • Supporting the Quality Manager in improving automation and efficiency of relevant processes
  • Collating and presenting quality documentation
  • Any other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time

Education

  • HND Qualification, or equivalent level in a manufacturing, engineering or science discipline or relevant experience
  • CQI Certificate or Diploma in Quality Management or equivalent experience within a Quality role
  • IRCA Internal Auditor

Experience of

  • Working within a Technical or QA/Documentation department
  • Proven track record working with minimal supervision in a fast pace, demanding manufacturing environment
  • Involvement in change initiatives and projects with a view to continual improvement

Working environment

  • Frequently required to use Personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, steel toe shoes) in designated areas
  • Factory-based
  • Occasional travel to multiple local sites and may be involved in short term global travel
